Can you lip-sync a photo to your own voice?
Yes. Open the Talking Photo studio in audio mode, upload a portrait, then upload a speech recording or record your voice. The recording supplies the spoken words, language, and timing; you do not need to clone a voice or choose a text-to-speech language. Select 720p or 1080p, review the credit estimate, and generate the MP4 using reusable credits.

Upload your own recording and the portrait lip-syncs to your real voice. Common formats are supported, so you can bring audio straight from your phone or recorder.
- MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, WebM, and FLAC
- Up to 25 MB per clip
- Or skip audio and type a script for an AI voice instead
How to get a cleaner lip sync
The clearer the audio, the tighter the mouth movement. A few small things make a big difference to how natural the result looks.
- Record clear, mono speech in a quiet room
- Trim silence from the start and end of the clip
- Keep one speaker per clip
- Speak at a natural pace — very fast speech is harder to track

How it works
How to lip-sync a photo to an audio file
Step 1
Upload a clear portrait
Use one visible, front-facing face and keep the mouth unobstructed. Use a photo you have permission to animate.
Step 2
Add your speech audio
The audio-mode link opens the studio for your own voice. Upload a file or record speech, choose the resolution, and check its duration and credit estimate.
Step 3
Generate and review the MP4
Confirm payment or use your credit balance, wait for the render, then check mouth timing and facial details before downloading or sharing.

FAQ
Common questions
Can I use my own audio?
Yes. Select Upload audio to add a speech file, or Record audio to capture your voice in the studio. The photo is animated to the recording; you do not need to clone a voice.
What audio formats work?
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, WebM, and FLAC uploads are supported, up to 25 MB per file. Use a speech recording with one speaker and little background noise.
What does it cost?
The Mini pack costs $5 for 50 reusable credits. A 10-second Talking Photo uses 10 credits at 720p or 20 credits at 1080p. Payment or a sufficient credit balance is required before generation.
How long can my audio be?
Talking Photo supports typed text, uploaded audio, and recordings up to 5 minutes at 720p or 2 minutes at 1080p.
Does uploaded audio qualify for the first-video offer?
No. The first-video offer is for eligible new customers using a typed script at 720p where that checkout is available. Uploaded or recorded audio uses reusable credits instead.
Can a photo speak a language outside the AI voice list?
Yes, when you supply the speech as uploaded or recorded audio. The photo follows your recording; this does not add that language to the typed-script AI voice catalogue.
Can TalkPix lip-sync an existing video?
This studio animates a still photo, not an existing moving video. For this workflow you need a portrait image plus speech audio, and the result is a newly generated MP4.
