  • A new video: the original stays in your history
  • Clips up to 60 seconds; longer ones take too long to process

Three ways to make a video sharper

Pick the quality, see the exact credit price for your video, then start. The upscaled video is a new MP4 with the original sound; the one you started from stays as it is. Videos up to 60 seconds.

Questions

What does the video upscaler do?

It makes an existing video sharper. HD 1080p and Pro HD 1080p rebuild it at 1080p, 4K at 2160p, all at 30 frames per second with the original sound. The result is a new MP4; the video you started from is not changed.

Which option should I pick?

Pro HD 1080p keeps faces and skin the most natural, so it suits talking videos best. HD 1080p is the lowest price for a sharper 1080p video. 4K is for big screens, presentations and editing.

How much does it cost?

HD 1080p: 1 credit per 5 seconds. Pro HD 1080p: 1 credit per second, minimum 4. 4K: 1 credit per second. The price is worked out from the real length of your video and shown before you start; the credits are reserved only when you confirm, and returned automatically if the upscale fails.

How long can the video be?

Up to 60 seconds, and an uploaded file up to 250MB (MP4 or MOV). Upscaling is slow — about a minute and a half for an 8-second clip, and up to 15 minutes for a 60-second one — so longer videos are not accepted. Trim a longer video and upscale the part you need.

Can I upscale a video I made on TalkPix?

Yes. Open any finished video and choose "Upscale this video", or pick it from your videos in the upscaler. A video that is already 1080p or sharper can only go to 4K.

How long is the upscaled video kept?

Like every TalkPix video, it is stored for 30 days and then deleted, so download it to keep a copy.
